THE LONELY BAY LEAF

Nov 12, 2021 | Cuisine & Philosophy | 0 comments

A philosophical thought of Miles Richard Callaghan.

..Such a full distinctive aroma

After having spread its fragrant, untouchable treasure, and refined every single morsel with an ethereal fullness, the bay leaf is left abandoned.

It does not enter the dishes, nor is it eaten, or even minced.

It is left alone in the bottom of the pan, falling asleep before the dish comes alive and abandons the leaf that awoke it.

“Glad to see the lonely bay leaf is getting the recognition it deserves!” Miles Richard Callaghan
